Durham Region - Seeks Public Input - Waste Management Bylaw

The region is asking for public input on the new Waste Management Bylaw. Durham Region's goal is to divert 70% of it's waste from landfill. Currently the Region diverts 53% through recycling, composting and reuse programs.

A public Information Session will be held in Uxbridge march 31st from 5 to 8 pm at the Uxbridge Pool 1 Parkside Drive. If you are unable to attend a copy of the proposed Waste Management Bylaw/and or Council resolution is available on the Regions web site or can be requested by fax, email, or mail.

Comment must be recieved by June 30th 2010.

Recycling makes so much sense; the idea of using the resources over alone makes it worth it.
